A&S Plaza know known as Manhattan Mall was located in midtown manhattan Fashion District area. The
main entrance of the mall was located on Broadway between 33rd and 32nd streets. The mall was original built in the same building which was home to another department store by the name of Gimbels which had closed in the early 1980s. A&S ( Abraham & Strauss ) later purchased the property and decided to utilize some of the space for its own while renting out the other real estate to other retailers. In it's initial opening the mall was a success, but early out attracted the likes of many shoplifters and criminals such as us Lo-Lifes. The mall had seven floors and a plethora of stores to choose from. Ironically some years later A&S went bankrupt and later sold their properties. In 1995 A&S Plaza was renamed Manhattan Mall and the rest is history.
