This is the first installment of an episode series of interviews featuring original OG Lo-Lifes founder member Ski-Lo. Listen as the OG fashion pioneer and Brooklynite describe how it was growing up in Brownsville Brooklyn and his early fashion Influences. Ski-Lo is the founder of U.S.A which was an acronym for United Shoplifters Association. U.S.A would soon join forces with the Ralphies Kids click from St.Johns and Utica in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. These unification of these two clicks is what later formed Lo-Lifes.
The Lo-Lifes were a gang of shoplifting youth that combined forces terrorizing high end department stores through out NYC and the Tri-State area. Their primary choice of dress was exclusive Polo by Ralph Lauren garments. The crew originated in 1988 when two different boosting clicks from Brooklyn joined forces to create the Lo-Lifes. The word "Lo" is the shortened slang name for Polo. So interms to be a Lo-Life a true meant to live a life of Polo. Listen to the full episode here on Spreaker.com
